I never had a baby sister. I think I would have loved it— actually I KNOW I would have loved it. What's not to love about the older brother younger sister relationship? I'm sure she would have driven me crazy with Barbies and stuff and I might have even told her to go away every once in a while but deep down inside I know I would have loved having her around. Beating up dumb boys who broke her heart would have just been an added bonus.
But seriously. I'd fight you if you messed with her. Nobody messes with my hypothetical baby sister...that I actually never had.
On June 26th of 2010 I married Cassie. Awesome day. Not only did I get a wife on that day but I finally got a baby sister, Tasha. Like I said. Awesome day.
In the 5 years that Tasha and I have been brother and sister I have absolutely loved watching her grow into the incredible woman she is today...the incredible woman I watched get married on Saturday. It was an honor to be able to not only photograph her and Billy's wedding day but it was even more of an honor to be able to stand up with them and commit to love and fight for their marriage with them.
Tasha, you were a stunning, radiant, beautiful, and timeless bride. Not only am I thankful that I have been able to call you 'sister' for the past 5 years I am also very thankful that I get to spend many many more years with you...and Billy.
Billy, my new brother. I was so thankful when Tasha brought you home to meet us because you are incredible. You are a generous, kind, gentle, fun, and diligent person and also a total blessing to our whole family. I have loved getting to know you and I am ecstatic that we get to spend many Christmases together picking on the Buchholz Family for their N'Sync Christmas album.
I love you both.
Oh yeah, Billy and Tasha's wedding was one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen. So there's that.
