Wedding season is here. Finally! For the rest of the summer my Fridays and Saturdays (and sometimes Sundays) will be full of laughter, joy, memories, and – of course – dancing.
Oh, the joy that fills my heart, and the honor I feel to be able to capture these beautiful days. I became a wedding photographer because, simply enough, I love weddings. I love the stories of how a couple met and when they fell in love. I get excited to hear about the proposal and how they finally decided it was time to take that big step. I enjoy hearing about their honeymoon and about their plans for the future. Every couple is creating a unique story, and I have the opportunity to capture it in a timeless photo they can keep forever.
Families and loved ones have spent days, months and sometimes years to create a night that reflects the love between the bride and groom. The culmination of all of that hard work, whether or not everything goes as planned, pays off when the groom finally sees his bride for the first time. The sparkles in their eyes and the connection they feel is a special moment we all get to share in. This moment is why I became a wedding photographer and why I’m grateful to be able to document these stories.
Thank you to all the brides and grooms who have trusted me to be a part of your story this summer. I look forward to getting to know each of your stories even more and celebrating with you on your big days!
